Bartow Regional Medical Center in Bartow, Florida Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery since 2019

Surgeon of Excellence:

-Tarek Gamal Garas, MD

Joelle Jakobsen, MD, FACS is an SRC-accredited Master Surgeon in Robotic Surgery. Dr. Jakobsen serves as the Chief of Surgery at Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center and brings years of expertise in minimally invasive surgical experience to the residents of Carmichael, California and surrounding areas. Dr. Jakobsen notes that as a surgeon she, “wants to make a difference in people’s life, make them feel whole again, and get them back in their normal routine, pain free and with a speedy recovery.

Jonathan H. Reinstine, MD has been an SRC-accredited Master Surgeon in Minimally Invasive Gynecology since 2020. Originally planning on becoming a pediatric surgeon, Dr. Reinstine changed direction during his medical training noting that he felt that surgical gynecology was a way he could “make more of a difference for people.” Dr. Reinstine is noted for performing some of the earliest laparoscopic hysterectomies in 1991 and bringing new surgical techniques to the residents of Louisville, Kentucky and surrounding areas where he practices at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
